The 22nd Arab Music Festival will kick off on Wednesdy 6 November at Cairo Opera House.
Syrian artist Asala will give a performance on opening night, which will be repeated over the two week programme.
The festival, which closes on 21 November, will include performances from many popular singers and musicians, including Medhat Saleh, Hany Shaker, Angham, Khaled Selim, Ali El-Haggar, Syrian singer Safwan Bahlawan and Tunisian Lotfi Boshnaq.
This will be the first festival since the passing of its founder and director,Ratiba El Hefny.
Gihan Morsy, who has directed the festival's opening and closing ceremonies over the past few years, will be heading the festival this year in place of El-Hefny, to whom the Cairo Opera House is dedicating this years' performances.
