Court annuls appointment of farmers' rep to Egypt constitution panel
Egyptian court rules appointment of Mohamed Dagher did not comply with panel's internal bylaws

Egypt's administrative court has ordered the annulment of a presidential decree appointing farmers' representative Mohamed Dagher to the 50-member constitution committee.
Dagher was appointed to replace farmers' syndicate leader Mohamed Abdel-Qader, who died in a car accident on 21 September.
According to a lawsuit filed by Mohamed El-Dabsh, Dagher's appointment violated the committee's internal bylaws because his name was not among the alternative members.
El-Dabsh, head of the peasants' syndicate in Matrouh and Mohamed Rashad, general head of the peasants' union of Upper Egypt, were listed as possible alternatives to represent farmers on the committee.
The committee amending the suspended 2012 constitution was formed on 1 September by interim president Adly Mansour.
Committee spokesman Mohamed Salmawi has said the final draft of the constitution will be ready by 3 December.
