A member of the committee which is amending Egypt's suspended constitution died in a car accident on Saturday afternoon. Mohamed Abdel-Qader was chosen to sit on the committee as an official representative of Egyptian farmers. According to the committee's Twitter account, the accident took place on the Kafr El-Sheikh road. Abdel-Qader had been head of the farmers' syndicate since 2011. Head of the Egyptian farmers' cooperative union, Mamdouh Hamada, is also on the committee. The head of the peasants' syndicate in Matrouh, Mohamed El-Dabsh, and the general head of the peasants' unions of Upper Egypt, Mohamed Rashed, are listed as possible alternatives to represent the farmers in the committee. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/82152.aspx
