Social Solidarity Ministry officially dissolves Brotherhood NGO
The Ministry of Social Solidarity states that no exceptional measures were taken in dissolving the Muslim Brotherhood NGO, only the law

Minister of Social Solidarity Ahmed El-Borai issued on Wednesday a decision to officially disband the Muslim Brotherhood NGO in accordance with the legal procedures stipulated in Article 42 of NGO Law, a statement by the ministry said.
The Brotherhood has operated outside Egyptian law for decades, and was only formally registered as an NGO in March 2013.
According to the statement, alleged violations by the Brotherhood -- including using its headquarter as a warehouse for weapons, firing live ammunition from its headquarters, as well as the use of violence by its members against the public -- were all referred to the General Federation of NGOs' Legal Affairs Committee, which resolved to dissolve the Brotherhood.
The statement also implied that the ministry had summoned a response by the Brotherhood about the accusations leveled against it, but received none.
"The ministry did not take any exceptional measure or procedure that could be appealed because it chose the law as the only legitimate [entity] to rule Egypt after the June 30 revolution in order to send a message to the world that the Egyptian administration did not take any exclusionary or retaliatory action against the Muslim Brotherhood," the statement added.
On 23 September, the Cairo court for urgent matters had ordered a ban on Muslim Brotherhood activities, as well as the interim government's seizure of the group's funds, with a panel to administer the frozen assets until an appeal is heard.
The following day, El-Borai said the interim government had postponed dissolving the Muslim Brotherhood until all litigations against the group members were finalised.
The Muslim Brotherhood officially appealed the court order to seize its funds on Monday.
