Tolan remains with Zamalek after 'bad luck' causes Ahly defeat: Nabih
Whites assistant coach believes Ahly had luck on their side during Sunday's faceoff, insists that head coach Helmy Tolan will remain in post

Zamalek assistant coach Osama Nabih rued that his team "wasted chances" during Sunday's showdown with rivals Ahly, insisting that bad luck was the reason behind the 4-2 humiliating defeat.
Title holders Ahly sealed their qualification for the African Champions League semis after heaping more misery on Cairo rivals Zamalek, who waved goodbye to the competition after another dismal campaign.
"Zamalek wasted a host of chances in the second half that were enough to change the result," Nabih said in a press conference after the match.
"Ahly is a great and well-organised team. They managed to make the best use of the wind's direction to score twice in the first half and that was a key element to their win.
"We were negatively affected by the direction of the wind and high temperature.
"We tried to recover in the second half by pushing new faces onto the field, but we were not lucky enough and that made the players more frustrated," the coach added.
Under the guidance of head coach Helmy Tolan, the Whites have won only once in five matches, losing in three and drawing in the other.
Asked about Tolan's future after the failure to snatch the club's first continental title since 2002, Nabih concluded: "Tolan is remaining in his post as there is no reason for him to leave."
Ahly are on top of Group A with 10 points, three ahead of South Africa's Orlando Pirates and Congo's AC Leopards. Zamalek, who extended their winless Cairo derby run to16 matches, lie at the bottom with four points.
Seven-time African champions Ahly will reach the semis even if they lose to Orlando in their final qualifying game and Leopards beat Zamalek. If the three sides finish level with 10 points, the head-to-head record between the three teams will favour the Red Devils.
