Hull City make offer to re-sign Ahly's Gedo on loan Egypt striker Gedo hopes Ahly will accept an offer from English Premier League side Hull City to sign him on loan
English Premier League side Hull City are interested in re-signing Ahly's Mohamed Nagy "Gedo" on loan, the Egypt striker said on Sunday. The 28-year-old impressed during a six-month loan stint with Hull last season, scoring five goals to play a key role in helping the Tigers seal promotion to the elite Premier League. However, Hull opted not to sign him on a permanent basis in the summer after he picked up a foot injury that sidelined him for three months. "I received a loan offer from Hull. I'm awaiting the response of [Ahly's] football committee and technical staff. I hope they will accept the offer," Gedo said on his Twitter feed. Gedo has been included in Egypt's squad for the 10 September World Cup qualifier against Guinea after recovering from the foot injury. The towering deep-lying forward is best known for scoring five goals in the 2010 African Cup of Nations to guide Egypt to a record-breaking seventh continental title.
