Four people were killed in the northern Egyptian city of Marsa Matrouh following clashes between former president Mohamed Morsi's supporters and opponents, the Egyptian Health Ministry said in the late hours of Wednesday. Thirteen were also injured in the province, known to be an Islamist stronghold, after the clashes which started after Morsi's supporters attacked Matrouh's governor offices. The clashes erupted few hours after Morsi was ousted by Egypt's powerful military, according to Al-Ahram's Arabic news website. Reuters reported that the dead were all Morsi supporters. The army heeded calls by millions of protesters who had been rallying in the streets since Sunday to demand snap presidential elections, Egypt's Defence Minister Abdel-Fatttah El-Sisi announced a transitional roadmap drawn up with the opposition that includes holding early presidential elections and appointing Egypt's constitutional court head, Adly Mansour, as an interim president. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/75645.aspx
