Egypt's Elmohamady grateful to Hull City fans Egypt winger expresses his appreciation for Hull City supporters after extending his stay with the newly-promoted English Premier League side on Friday
Egypt winger Ahmed Elmohamady, on loan with Hull City from Sunderland, officially puts pen to paper on Friday, and is ecstatic. "It feels great to be here permanently, especially after what happened here last season," Elmohamady was quoted as saying on the Hull City's official website on Friday. The 25-year-old winger helped Hull City to earn promotion to the Premier League after scoring three goals and creating several others. He joined the former Championship side on a season-long loan from Premier League side Sunderland last summer and was named Hull City's Player of the Year for 2012/13. "It was a great year and I thoroughly enjoyed playing for this club. Everything about it was great – the players, the staff, the fans – and I am delighted to be here again," he added. Elmohamady has recently reiterated his desire to make his loan deal with Hull City permanent, saying it would be difficult for him to play with any coach other than Hull City's Steve Bruce, who hired him from Egypt's ENPPI after taking charge of Sunderland three years ago. "The manager was the one who brought me over from Egypt to play for Sunderland and now he has brought me here," Elmohamady said. "I really enjoy playing for him and I look forward to doing so again now," the Egyptian talented star concluded.
