Court to rule on Al-Nas Salafist channel 4 April
A verdict in the case filed by TV anchor Hala Sarhan against Al-Nas channel is due April, Egypt's Administrative Court says

Egypt's Administrative Court has set 4 April as the date to issue its verdict in the case filed by TV anchor Hala Sarhan against Al-Nas Salafist satellite channel requesting its closure.
The charges accuse the channel of defaming several Egyptian public figures and spreading false news.
Several Salafist satellite channels have come under attack facing several lawsuits for their controversial content.
Egypt's Administrative Court recently ordered controversial Sheikh Abdullah Badr on Al-Hafez religious channel be taken off air for 30 days.
Badr was also slammed on 17 December with a year in jail and bail set at LE20,000 for insulting prominent actress Ilham Shahin on his show.
Preacher Abu-Islam Ahmed Abdullah, owner of the Umma and Mariya Salafist satellite television channels, is another preacher facing charges. Abdullah is accused of defaming Christianity for burning copies of the Bible and insulting Coptic women on one of his TV shows.
