Ultras celebrate Port Said case at Ahly club in 'first sign of justice'

Members of Ultras Ahlawy celebrate the court's death sentence verdict to 21 of the 73 accused of killing Ahly fans in a football match in Port Said stadium; Port Said fans react angrily
Thousands of Ultras Ahlawy fans erupt into celebrations with fireworks and chanting at the Ahly Club grounds in Zamalek, Cairo upon hearing the court's verdict in the case against the accused of an attack on Ahly fans in Port Said stadium.
Twenty one have been given the death sentence for their part in the killing of 71 Ahly fans during a match in the Port Said stadium between Ahly and Masry on 1 February 2012.
The group has blocked all entrances to the club and the roads leading from the club to Tahrir Square.
An Ahram Online reporter at the scene says there is no security presence at the club.
Seventy-three defendants, including nine security officials, three Masry football club officials and a number of fans, are on trial for their suspected role in the disaster.
Meanwhile, at Cairo's police academy, where the trial is taking place, relatives of the victims are chanting, “The dogs of the interior ministry killed my son” and “Vengeance, vengeance for the mothers of the martyrs.”
While Ultras Ahlawy has said it will remain at the Ahly club, state television has said some of its members have arrived at the police academy in New Cairo.
Meanwhile, hundreds of the defendants' relatives are protesting outside the Port Said General Prison.
Egypt's interior ministry ordered that the defendants not be transferred to Cairo to hear the verdict in order to avoid any potential disruption.
However, five defendants, all police officers, have arrived at the police academy.
