Holders Esperance taste first Champions League defeat in 17 months
Already assured of a place in the Champions League semis, Esperance lose to ASO Chlef of Algeria in their last group-stage game on Friday

Tunisian giants Esperance tasted their first African Champions League defeat in over 17 months after slumping to a 1-0 loss to Algeria's ASO Chlef in their last Group A game on Friday.
The defending Champions lost their 100% record in the competition when Chlef's Cameroonian frontman Anicet Eyenga struck after 27 minutes.
Nigerian side Sunshine Stars and Esperance had already guaranteed their qualification for the semi-finals. The Tunisian champions lead the group with nine points, three ahead of second-placed Sunshine Stars.
The group included three teams only after African governing CAF disqualified Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel after their fans invaded the pitch during the game against Esperance on 18 August in Sousse.
Esperance will learn who they would face in the semis when Egyptian giants Ahly face Cairo rivals Zamalek in the last Group B game on Sunday.
