Ahly's football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz revealed on Tuesday that the team's international striker Emad Metab will be able to play against Zamalek in their upcoming African clash, set to be played on Sunday at Borg El-Arab stadium in Alexandria. The 29-year-old year striker suffered a back injury which prevented him from featuring in Ahly's 2-0 defeat against TP Mazembe in the Champions League, as well as the recent Egypt Super Cup. "Meteb is fit to play against Zamalek," Ahly's football director told Ahram Online on Tuesday. Abdel-Hafiz added that the team will prepare for the upcoming game with a closed training camp, two days before the game. Ahly had already qualified for the semi-finals of the African competition after collecting ten points from their campaign in the competition's quarter final, while Zamalek were eliminated with only a point from five games. Ahly are looking to win Sunday's clash to top the group, in order to avoid a difficult semi-final against Group A leaders Esperance de Tunis, one of the competition's high performers.
