Egypt will play two friendly matches with Brazil and Tunisia on 12 and 16 October, respectively, within preparations for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, a member of the Pharaohs technical staff reveals on Tuesday. Under the guidance of American coach Bob Bradley, Egypt was scheduled to play friendlies against Benin and Cameroon on 7 and 11 September, but both have since been cancelled. "Bradley has decided to hold a training camp in the United Arab Emirates capital, Abu Dhabi, starting from the second week of October," the technical staff member who was not named told the German news agency DPA. "The team will play two friendly matches against Brazil and Tunisia during the camp," he added. The seven-time African champions were knocked out of the first round of 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifiers after a 4-3 loss on aggregate to Central Africa's Minnows. They will not play any competitive games until next year, when they host Zimbabwe in their third Group G game in the World Cup 2014 qualifiers in March. Egypt are on top of the group with six points from two games after beating Mozambique and Guinea.
