Summer Collective Exhibition ongoing at Safarkhan Gallery Modern and contemporary art is featured in Summer Collective Exhibition, now at Safarkhan Gallery in Cairo
The Summer Collective Exhibition, held at Safarkhan Gallery in Zamalek, showcases modern Egyptian art from the 20th century, including works by Effat Naghi and Kamal Khalifa, alongside pieces by up-and-coming talents on the contemporary art scene. “Our aim in this collection is to enrich the artistic scene by presenting an exciting mix of the most up-to-date and valuable art,” reads a Safarkhan press release. The encounter of generations in this collective exhibition reflects Safarkhan's sustained efforts to strike a balance between showcasing artwork by pioneering Egyptian artists and emerging contemporary artists. The exhibit, which opened 28 May, runs throughout summer. Programme: Safarkhan Art Gallery Monday-Saturday, 10am-9pm 6 Brazil Street, Zamalek, Cairo http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/50700.aspx
