The newly appointed Minister of Defense Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi has made new changes within military ranks on Wednesday, according to the Ahram Arabic Website. Head of military prosecution Adel El-Morsi was appointed as armed forces' Deputy Chief of Staff and General Medhat Ghazi was appointed as head of military prosecution instead. General Osama Roshdy Aaskar was appointed head of Third Army instead of Sedki Sobhy who was appointed as the armed forces' new Chief of Staff earlier on Sunday. These changes follow president Mohamed Morsi' decision on Sunday to retire head of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces Field Marshal Tantawi as well as the armed forces' Chief of Staff Sami Anan. El-Sisi was appointed Defence Minister instead of Tantawi while Sobhy was appointed instead of Anan. .
