Saudi frees 82 jailed Egyptian nationals in Ramadan amnesty
Whether or not royal pardon includes jailed Egyptian lawyer Ahmed El-Gizawi, however, remains unclear

Eighty-two Egyptian nationals that had been jailed in Saudi Arabia were granted pardons by Saudi King Abdullahon Wednesday in a Ramadan amnesty.
Saudi ambassador to Egypt Ahmed Qattan has stated that Egypt's foreign ministry would soon be provided with the names of those released.
The number of Egyptians still languishing in Saudi Arabian prisons remains unknown.
Notably, there was no news about the release – or lack thereof – of Egyptian lawyer Ahmed El-Gizawi.
El-Gizawi was detained by Saudi authorities earlier this year on charges of smuggling prescription drugs into the kingdom.
His arrest angered many Egyptian activists at the time, who attributed his detention to complaints that the lawyer had filed earlier against Saudi authorities, which he accused of unlawfully jailing Egyptian citizens.
El-Gizawi's case has been adjourned by a Saudi court until 5 September.
El-Gizawi's family, which believes he was detained for allegedly "insulting" Saudi Arabia's royal rulers, has urged Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi to intervene in the case on El-Gizawi's behalf.
Morsi returned to Egypt on Wednesday from Mecca where he had attended a two-day Islamicsummit devoted to tackling issues of concern to the Muslim world, and held a meeting with King Abdullah of the Kingdom.
