Mido slams ex-club Zamalek over unpaid slaries
Ahmed Hossam says he's spent four months trying to secure back payments but to no avail; 'Nobody answers,' says frustrated striker

Barnsley's new Egyptian striker Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' has complained via Twitter about payments that he never received from former club Zamalek.
"For four months, I've been trying to get in touch with members of the Zamalek board to learn when they would pay me, but nobody answers," Mido said via Twitter on Wednesday morning.
Like all Egyptian football clubs, Zamalek has suffered a financial crisis following the suspension of domestic football activity in the wake of February's Port Said stadium disaster.
"I'm not even asking for my money now. I just want somebody to tell me when I can receive it, even after a year," he added. "They owe me LE5 million, but I don't want to file a formal complaint."
The nomadic striker, who began his career at the Cairo-based club, is a former player for England's Middlesborough, Wigan and West Ham clubs.
He began his career abroad with Belgian side Ghent in 2000, after which he gave a string of strong performances for Ajax (the Netherlands), Marseille (France), Celta Vigo (Spain) and Tottenham (England).
"Zamalek owes Mamuh Abbas some LE40 million, and Abbas has sworn he would not pay any more," Mido noted.
Abbas, who currently serves as Zamalek chairman, is an Egyptian business tycoon who has recently represented one of the club's chief sources of funding.
"Members only elected him because he pays," Mido asserted.
The 29-year-old forward is expected to be out of action for the next six weeks due to a hamstring injury.
