Gomaa and Trezeguet boost Ahly's squad in Zamalek clash Coach Hossam El-Badry names Ahly's 20-man squad to enter a closed camp ahead of Cairo derby with rivals Zamalek
Defender Wael Gomaa and talented midfielder Mahmoud Hassan "Trezeguet" have been included in Ahly's squad that will play Sunday's anticipated derby with Zamalek in the second round of the CAF Champions League group stage. Veteran stopper Gomaa has just finished his rehabilitation from a calf injury that sidelined him for around a month, while Trezeguet will be the replacement of midfielder Shehab Eldeen Ahmed who is currently with the Olympic national team training camp in France. The winners of six CAF Champions League trophies, Ahly, defeated DR Congo champions TP Mazembe 2-1 in the first round of the continental tournament. Cairo giants Ahly and Zamalek will meet at the Military Academy Stadium in Cairo behind closed doors due to lingering security concerns. The last time they met in Africa's premier club competition was in 2008 when they drew 2-2 in the group stage. Ahly went on to win a record-breaking sixth title, one ahead of Zamalek.
