Ahly's Shokry demands spot in CAF squad or will leave for Saudi Talented midfielder Ahmed Shokry wants place in Ahly squad for next season's African Champions League or he will leave for Saudi side Al-Shoala
Ahly midfielder Ahmed Shokry has said he will leave the club during the transfer window if he is not registered in the squad for next season's African Champions League. "If Ahly don't include me in the African squad I will join Saudi side Al-Shoala as their offer is still alive," Shokry was quoted as by Saudi newspaper Al-Jazeera. The Cairo giants' coach, Hossam El-Badry, has said he won't discuss any offers for Shokry as he is key player. The six-time African Champions League winners have recently registered more four players, Mahmoud Aboul-Sauod, Ahmed Sedik, Oussou Konan and Saad Samir, in their African squad and there are three places left to fill. Ahly are scheduled to face TP Mazembe of Congo in the group stage of the CAF Champions League on Sunday. Along with Mazembe, the Egyptian giants have been drawn in Group B with archrivals Zamalek and Ghana's Chelsea.
