Nigeria and Arsenal friendly is amazing for coach Keshi Nigeria coach revealed that his team's players are fit for the friendly against Arsenal on 5 August
Nigeria national team coach Stephen Keshi has backed his home based players before playing English Premier League giants Arsenal in a friendly Abuja National Stadium on 5 August, claiming the players will be ready for the crucial game. “It's amazing for me and for them; I believe they will give their best during the encounter,” Keshi was quoted as saying on Skysports. The 50-year-old tactician believes that the crucial friendly against Arsenal will be a good preparation for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil qualifiers. “It's another opportunity for me to see how these players can cope with a different pattern of play from some established stars like [Robin] Van Persie, [Lukas] Podolski and the rest,” he added. Keshi decided to include players from the Nigeria Premier League when he face Arsenal as he is confident that the players will not disappoint him and the nation. The former Mali coach is also waiting for Thursday's final round draws for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations billed for Johannesburg, South Africa. "We won't run away from any team for the final qualifiers. Any team we are drawn against, we will be fine," Nigeria coach said.
