Ghana striker revealed Monday that he will return to the Black Stars again, retreating his retiring from the international duty. The 26-year-old attacker has expressed his frustration at missing two crucial penalties while playing for Ghana at the 2012 FIFA World Cup and the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations that led to his decision to retire from international football. "I am not upset. It was due to some psychological reasons. The penalty misses have affected me a little and not the criticisms. I expect the criticisms," Gyan was quoted as saying on Peace FM on Monday. "I have been misquoted about my break from the national team," he said."I had to take a break so I could psyche myself up. My confidence in the national team was low and I hoped to return with greater confidence.Psychologically when I am down, I can't come back to play," Gyan said. The current UAE's Al-Ain striker Gyan revealed that he still hopes to wear the Black Stars' jersey again. "The decision to return is now left to me," he said. "Very, very soon, I will make that announcement. In my letter, I stated that my action was indefinite, so it can be any time. I will communicate that soon." Gyan he added.
