Hair treatment launches in Cairo salons
L'Oreal launches its treatment Kérastase across Cairo salons, with an emphasis on diagnosis
Published in Ahram Online on 12 - 06 - 2012

L'Oreal is proud to have opened a new training centre this year in the heart of Mohandessin. Here, they offer classes to salon staff, including on Kérastase, which officially launched on 20 May.
The L'Oreal team is training salon professionals to diagnose and be able to relay to their clients what they see in their hair. Then, the Kérastase treatment is supposed to directly address the realities of the state of the hair as well as the client's vision of what they'd like their hair to be.
A Kérastase treatment has nine different options: they combine one of three bases and one of three “boosters” based on your hair's needs.
Upon personally trying the treatment, the hair is permeated with a wonderful perfume that lasts for days and looks and feels softer while the effects of the first treatment last. The follow-up products didn't prolong the effects, however, like with any treatment, maybe several sessions are needed to reach more permanent results.
If - and only if - the staff is well trained does Kérastase have the possibility of being a revelation and possible solution to what's really going on with your hair.
More specifically; they are supposed check the hair itself for elasticity and breakage, different points in the scalp for oiliness, dryness or dandruff and a number of other weaknesses. If they can relay this to you, it's a great insight.
Also, L'Oreal trains the staff to use a special camera that zooms in greatly onto the scalp and hair so they can, literally, get a better picture of what's going on on the scalp. Once Egypt salons have this it will be another, helpful diagnosis instrument!
