We were lucky to beat Zimbabwe, says Guinea coach Guinea‘s coach Michel Dussuyer admits his team was lucky to beat Zimbabwe in Harare in 2014 World Cup qualifiers
French coach Michel Dussuyer revealed on Monday that Guinea were lucky to beat their hosts Zimbabwe in Sunday's World Cup qualifier. "We knew it was going to be tough for us and we defended throughout the game and had one chance which we used. A draw could have been enough for us, but this is now a really big win," Michel Dussuyer told the Zimbabwean newspaper News Day on Monday. Stuttgart striker Ibrahima Traore scored the winner for the Syli National in the 25th minute of the game, offering his national team three precious points. "I am satisfied from the team's performance during the game. We played well during the first half-time but we struggled on the second," Dussuyer added. Meanwhile Guinea' skipper Kamil Zayatte praised team's goalkeeper Naby Yattara, who produced an impressive performance during the game. "We faced a good team and they missed several occasions to return to the game, thanks to goalkeeper Yattara, who saved the team during this game," Guinea's skipper concluded. Guinea will host on Sunday seven-time African champions Egypt, who defeated Mozambique 2-0 on Friday in day two of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers. The two teams have three points but Egypt are leading the group due to their goal difference. (For more sports news and updates, follow Ahram Online Sports on Twitter: @AO Sports)
