Ahly's new coach intends to release defender Ahmed El-Sayed from the team's squad for next season

Ahmed El-Sayed's future with Ahly is far from certain after coach Hossam El-Badry opted against renewing his contract with the club.
According to state-run news agencfy MENA, El-Badry demanded during a meeting on Thursday that Ahly board release Ahmed El-Sayed from the team squad.
The contract of the 30-year-old defender expires this summer.
Meanwhile, several reports suggested that El-Badry also wants to offload midfielder Mohamed Shawky but the club's board turned down his request and asked him to give the former Middlesbrough man another chance to prove his worth before January's transfer window.
