Anti-sexual harassment and expression groups call for art work Harassmap, Graffiti Hareemy and Mashrou' El-Mareekh send an open call for any artwork on sexual harassment to be exhibited at Townhouse Gallery
A group of anti-sexual harassment campaigners, along with campaigns promoting self expression, have called for submissions of art in any medium relating to sexual harassment by 15 June to be part of an exhibition and event in July. Emsek Motaharesh (Harassmap), which combats harassment through crowd sourcing harassment incidents; Graffiti Hareemy, which brings together artists to create street art on women's issues; Bussy Project, which collects stories and perform monologues on women's issues, along with Mashrou' El Mareekh, which creates open platforms for self-expression, are organising the event. Graffiti Hareemy is also looking for street artists to join their initiative for the event. The event, set for 15 July in the Factory Space at the Townhouse Gallery, will feature the Bussy Project monologues, and open-mic on sexual harassment, along with the art exhibition. To submit artworks email [email protected] before 15 June.
