Egypt's Olympic football national team ended its final training session on Wednesday morning ahead of Thursday's anticipated game against Spain in the first game of the group stage of the Olympic football tournament. According to a statement by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), the young Pharaohs prepared by first watching the recent friendly match between Spain and Japan, before heading to a training session. Egypt was drawn in a tough group at the Tokyo Olympic Games, along with heavyweights Spain, Argentina, and Australia. "Coach Shawqi Gharib worked on enhancing his players' confidence, stressing to them that Egyptian fans expects a lot from the team, while the players vowed to deliver their best," the EFA's statement explained. The 2012 quarter-finalists, Egypt, will open their campaign against Spain before facing Argentina three days later and Australia on 28 July.
