Average yields rose on treasury bills auctioned by Egypt's central bank on Sunday and the bank said it sold all the bills it had offered. The average yield on 9-month bills rose to 15.828 per cent from 15.772 per cent at the last issue on 8 May and the bank sold LE3 billion pounds the same amount it had sought. The average yield on 3-month bills inched up to 14.314 per cent from 14.161 per cent at the last week's auction.The bank sold LE1 billion of those bills, the same amount it had offered. The central bank sells the bills on behalf of the finance ministry.
