Fathi fit for Stade Malien showdown, says Ahly coach
Ahmed Fathi ready for Ahly's clash with Stade Malien after recovering from a knee injury, says club's football director

Ahly right winger Ahmed Fathi will be available for the game against Stade Malien in the second leg of the CAF Champions League round of 16 on Monday after recovering from a knee injury.
"Fathi is medically ready to take part in Stade Malien game," Ahly's football director was quoted as saying on the club's official site.
"The player's participation in the game will depend on the coach's decision," he added.
The 27-year-old resumed light training Thursday as he continued his recovery from a cartilage injury, while Friday's training proved that he was fit to rejoin the squad.
Ahly defender Wael Gomaa will travel to Portugal on Sunday to undergo medical tests on a calf injury he sustained two weeks ago.
"Gomaa will stay two weeks in Portugal to recover from the calf injury, and then he needs six weeks rehab before returning to regular training," Ahly doctor Ehab Ali said Friday.
Ahly beat Stade Malien 1-0 in the first leg of their round of 16 clash.
