A Valentine's Day night with Lebanese Carla Chamoun released on YouTube

Lebanese rising singer Carla Chamoun released a pre-recorded live concert on YouTube.
Taking place on 12 February in celebration of Valentine's Day and dubbed ‘Love and Joy', the video was released on YouTube on 13 February.
The concert features the original songs from Chamoun's debut album, Ajmal Chi (The Most Beautiful Thing), in addition to her personal renditions of known compositions.
Chamoun's soothing vocals are accompanied by Lucas Sakr (piano), Fouad Afra (drums), Carlos Bouchabki (bass), Khaled Yassine (percussion), Ramy Khalaf (guitar), and Joe Khoury (saxophone).
Born in Beirut, Carla Chamoun is a young and rising tri-lingual singer who “blends modern Arabic music into an oriental twist through her emotions and astonishing voice in Arabic, English, and French,” reads the singer's biography on YouTube.
Over the past years, her unique vocals, often described as “angelic” and performances filled with a lot of grace has brought Chamoun to a spotlight in Lebanon and the Arab world.
Shifting between Arabic and Western music, Chamoun is strongly inspired by jazz, which adds to her compositions a lot of flexibility and a large range of musical colours.
She often sings covers of well-known international jazz classics as well as compositions by great Arab composers.
Whether accompanied by a band or in a more intimate setting where she sings to guitar or piano, Chamoun's depth of interpretation of a variety of music material and a crystal clear, melodious, and at times slightly smoky tone is what makes her stand out among other singers of her generation.
Chamoun studies music and singing in Prague and Beirut. She has performed multiple solo concerts in Beirut and the region, and released her first debut album Ajmal Chi, featuring The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra in 2018.
Ajmal Chi was produced by ONE:SIXTEEN and recorded by four-time Grammy Award Winner music engineer Jan Holzner.
