Egyptian music producer Mido Mounib has died early Saturday in Cairo at the age of 41, a year after suffering repecussions of a brain haemorrhage. Hundreds of musicians expressed grief and condolensces for the loss of Mido Mounib through various social media platforms. Mounib's funeral was held Saturday amid strict measures against COVID-19. The nephew of iconic Nubian composer and singer Ahmed Mounib, Mido collaborated with many known pop singers, songwriters and arrangers throughout almost a two-decade career. The founder of Pause Production produced for many known singers as well as once rising talents such as Riham Abdel-Hakim, Hatem Fahmy, Mai Selim, Mohamed Nour, and Maram. Mounib, who was also a video-clip director and singer, Mido had announced earlier that his company is releasing three new albums for various singers in 2021.
