Ismaily have appointed veteran coach Talaat Youssef as their new manager, the coastal club announced on Tuesday. Youssef will replace Brazilian coach Heron Ferreira, who was sacked Monday after Ismaily's 1-2 loss to Gouna in an Egyptian Premier League game. Ismaily made a disappointing start to the season as they claimed only two points from three matches. Youssef, a former Ittihad of Alexandria coach, took charge of a handful of Egyptian league clubs including Talae El-Geish, Petrojet, Maqassa, Masry and Smouha. He had a short spell at Libyan giants Ahly Tripoli in 2017. The 65-year-old was was one of the candidates to take charge of the Egyptian national team following the Pharaohs' last-16 elimination at the African Nations Cup last year but the country's football association eventually opted for former Ahly boss Hossam El-Badry.
