Ahly midfielder Abdullah El-Said will miss the round of 16 second-leg clash with Stade Malien in the CAF Champions League on 28 April. The 26-year-old sustained a cut in his leg muscle during training and has been ruled out of the match by Portuguese manager Manuel Jose. “El-Said will not join the Mali trip and he will not be ready for regular training until next week,” Ahly assistant coach Mohamed Youssef told Ahram Online. The international players, who were on national duty with the Pharaohs at a training camp in the UAE, will rejoin training on Friday. Striker Dominic Da Silva has suffered from exhaustion while Mohamed Nagi ‘Geddo' has an adductor muscle strain, but the duo will join their teammates Friday. In the absence of Goma'a, El-Said and Moawad, the Egyptian champions defeated Ethiopian Coffee 3-0 last week following a goalless draw in an away game. Malian side Stade Malien are set for a showdown against Ahly after smashing Tonnerre of Benin 5-2 on aggregate in the previous round.
