More than 5 million people cast their vote in the run-off of the first stage of the Egyptian House of Representatives elections held earlier this month, representing 20.01 percent of the electorate, the National Elections Authority (NEA) said.
Slightly more than 4.7 million votes were valid.
Individual candidacy system candidates competed for 110 seats in 13 governorates included in this stage, the NEA said on Monday. All 110 seats were filled.
The run-off was held at home on 23-24 November, while expats belonging to this stage's governorates cast their vote on 21-23 November.
The governorates included were Giza, Fayoum, Beni Suef, Minya, Assiut, El-Wadi El-Gedid, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan, Alexandria, Beheira, and Matrouh. Seats for the Red Sea governorate were decided in the first round of voting.
Voting in the run-off for the second stage, which includes the capital Cairo, is set to take place on 5-7 December for expats and on 7-8 December at home.
The 13 governorates of the second stage also include Qalioubiya, Daqahliya, Menoufiya, Gharbiya, Kafr Al-Sheikh, Sharqiya, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai and South Sinai.
The results for this stage are set to be announced on 14 December.
