'I love challenges and playing against big teams,' says Zamalek's Bencharki

Zamalek Moroccan winger Achraf Bencharki has admitted his team will have a mountain to climb on Friday when they face Ahly in the African Champions League final, adding that he hopes to help the White Knights win the prestigious title.
“It's going to be a difficult game in which anything is possible,” Bencharki told FIFA.com on Thursday.
“Personally speaking, I want to win the Champions League title because I love challenges and playing against big teams.”
The 26-year-old, who joined Zamalek in the summer of 2019, is a key player in the White Knights' squad. He has made a number of strong displays throughout the season.
Bencharki shone against Esperance de Tunis in the African Super Cup last February, scoring twice in Zamalek's 3-1 win over the Tunisian giants.
Two weeks later, he scored again against Esperance in a 3-1 victory over the Tunisians in the Champions League quarterfinals, helping his team reach the competition's semifinals at the expense of the winners of the two previous editions.
He was also exceptional against Raja of Morocco in the semi-final, after scoring the winning goal in the first leg in Casablanca, opening the door for Zamalek to reach the final.
“The CAF Champions League is the number one tournament I like to play in. I love to show what I'm really capable of in major tournaments like this one,” Bencharki said.
“Now I'm enjoying a very good period, like the one I had with Wydad. When you play for such big teams, it brings out the best in you,” he added.
Bencharki helped Wydad win the Champions League title in 2017 at the expense of Ahly, and he was also instrumental in his team's triumphant campaign in the competition.
He scored the equaliser in the first leg in Egypt before providing the winning goal in Casablanca.
Zamalek are bidding for their sixth Champions League title, their first since 2002.
