Khairat El-Shater to be excluded from presidency race, say sources

Muslim Brotherhood candidate Khairat El-Shater is set to be officially excluded from Egypt's first post-Mubarak elections on Tuesday, says an official within the Brotherhood's political arm, the Freedom and Justice Party.
Sources earlier on Tuesday within the Supreme Presidential Electoral Commission (SPEC) said that both ex-intelligence chiefOmar Suleiman and Salafist preacherHazem Abu-Ismail would be disqualified from upcoming presidential elections.
The SPEC is expected to formally announce the decision at 8pm Cairo time.
