We found our patience, and we scored fairly early, we created goal scoring chances... we controlled the match.” Barca coach said during the post-match press conference. In the Catalans' 10thconsecutive league victory, two goals were scored by Alexis Sanchez, one from Pedro Rodriguez and Lionel Messi netted his 39th league goal. He added that “it's very difficult to attack a team that defends with nine players.” Defending champions upped the pressure on leaders Real Madrid as they moved to within a point of their bitter rivals. The players dedicate victory to their French teammate Eric Abidal, who underwent liver transplant surgery today. “We're very pleased to be able to dedicate this victory to Abidal and his cousin Gerard. It's a special day because we knew that he was in surgery.” Guardiola said.
