Zamalek coach expects tough clash in Cairo despite Casablanca win
Published in Ahram Online on 19 - 10 - 2020

Zamalek boss Jaime Pacheco said his side should be cautious in the second-leg of the champions League semis, adding the team haven't reached the final yet despite their 1-0 victory over Raja in Casablanca on Sunday.
The White Knights earned a precious first-leg advantage, thanks to a first-half header from Moroccan winger Achraf Bencharki.
They will host Raja in the second leg at Cairo Stadium on Saturday.
"I am very happy with the first-leg result but we haven't reached the final yet," Pacheco told the post-match news conference.
"We have to respect our opponent and to stay humble to achieve our mission and to reach the final.
"Raja played a good game, especially in the second half but we were more intelligent. We were lucky but in this kind of games you need to be lucky."
The Portuguese boss paid tribute to his players, saying they punched above their weight after suffering from fatigue.
"Many thanks to the players. We played five games in a couple of weeks. They are very exhausted and they need some time of rest," he said.
Bencharki also underlined the importance of replicating that win in the second leg at home.
"We did a good job in Morocco and we realized a positive result; I hope to win the second leg to confirm our qualification for the final," he stated.
The 25-year-old became Zamalek's highest-scoring foreigner in African competitions with nine goals, surpassing former Burkinabe striker Abdoulaye Cisse even though he only joined Zamalek in the summer of 2019.
