Skipper Abou-Treika gives Egypt late win against Uganda
Second-half goals by Salah, Abou-Treika earn Pharaohs 2-1 victory against Cranes in Khartoum friendly

An injury-time header from Mohamed Abou-Treika on Thursday earned Egypt a 2-1 victory against Uganda in a friendly game held in Khartoum, Sudan.
The Pharaohs, in control of the game in terms of possession, fell behind after a goal from Fabian Derrick Kizito in the 34th minute. A bad back pass by defender Mahmoud Fathallah came into the path of the Cranes' number-9, who rounded keeper Essam El-Hadary to put his team in the lead.
The seven-time African champions improved following the break, however, after coach Bob Bradley brought in Mohamed Salah, Mohamed El-Neni and Ahmed Hegazi, replacing Walid Soliman, Ibrahim Salah and Mohamed Naguib, respectively.
Salah scored with his first touch to earn Egypt a well-deserved equaliser after brilliantly controlling a swerving long ball from Mahmoud Abdel-Razek "Shikabala," sliding it past the Ugandan keeper.
The Pharaohs consolidated their domination of the game, creating several scoring opportunities, but had to wait until injury time to clinch the winner.
Substitute Ahmed Temsah crossed the ball to Abou-Treika, who took over the captain's armband after El-Hadary's first-half injury, rising above the defenders to score the winner.
The 32-year-old playmaker, who had appeared way past his prime, was cheered by teammates and supporters, giving him a glimmer of hope for the first time since last month's Port Said tragedy, which had almost forced the celebrated player to retire from football.
Egypt lineup:
Essam El-Hadary (Ahmed El-Shennawy 35) – Ahmed Fathi, Mahmoud Fathallah, Mohamed Naguib (Ahmed Naguib 57), Hossam Ghaly, Mahmoud Abdel-Shafy – Walid Soliman (Mohamed Salah 57), Ibrahim Salah (Mohamed El-Neni 57), Mahmoud Abdel-Razek “Shikabala” (Ahmed Temsah 80) – Ahmed Hassan Mekki (Ahmed Abdel-Zaher 70).
