Market Update: Major Egypt stocks gain 1.1 pct by Wednesday close

Major Egyptian stocks have extended their gains with the benchmark EGX30 closing Wednesday up 1.1 per cent at 5,040 points.
From around 170 listed stocks, just over 60 gained in value. The broader EGX70 slipped 0.19 per cent.
Turnover was around LE409.2 million ($67.79 million), with the majority of trade focused on EFG-Hermes and Orascom Telecom Media and Technology.
