Egypt stock exchange HQ to move from downtown Cairo Main offices will relocate to Smart Village on Cairo-Alexandria desert road in April but trading will continue in city centre, says bourse head
The headquarters of Egypt's stock exchange will move from downtown Cairo to the outskirts of Giza in April, the head of the bourse, Mohamed Omran, announced on Sunday. The main offices will relocate to Smart Village, a district dedicated to business enterprises which sits beside the western desert road that connects Cairo and Alexandria. The bourse's board of directors, trade watchdog and human resource departments will all move to the new premises, Omran said. The market's daily operations, legal affairs and membership administrations will still be handled by the exchange's downtown offices, he added. Established in 1883, Egypt's stock exchange is the third oldest in the world, according to the state-run MENA news agency. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/37046.aspx
