The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) announced that it is releasing chosen films and music works which the fund has been supporting over the 14 years of its activities across the Arab region. According to the information released by AFAC, the selection of films and music will be refreshed on weekly basis under the title of ‘Screens and Streams'. The film releases are a rethought adaptation of the annual AFAC Film Weeks. The first week which runs until April 8, five films are made available: And on a Different Note by Mohammed Shawky Hassan, The Three Disappearances of Soad Hosni by Rania Stephan, Underground/On the Surface by Salma El Tarzi, Silence by Chadi Aoun and Waves by Ahmed Nour. The tracks include The Great Departed – “La Bombe”; Asifeh – “Datura”; Donna Khalifé – “Hope is the Thing with Feathers”; Othman El Kheloufi – “Zid Zid” (“When Light Takes You on a Motorbike”); Mafar – “Visa”; Layale Chaker – “Inner Rhyme”; Youssra El Hawary – “No'oum Nasyeen”; among others.
