Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El Saeed approved to raise advanced medical supplies allocations in the health ministry's budget for current FY2019/2020. The new allocations are additional sums of EGP 200 million to manage the first phase of providing medical machines needs for countering COVID-19 under the state's inclusive plane to contain COVID-19 outbreak. El Saeed said in a statement that healthcare system is on top government priorities, unveiling that health ministry budget in coming FY2020/2021 will see an increase by 100 percent of its budget in FY2019/2020. She added that it is important in current phase to pay focus attention to the Egyptian human and healthcare system, especially with the serious challenges that surround the glob. The priest phase of providing medical supplies involved ventilators, medical solutions, electro-shock, binoculars and EGK devices, in addition to providing intensive care beds. President Abdelfatah El Sisi had instructed to allocate EGP 100 billion for the sake of contain COVID-19 outbreak and its impacts on Egypt's economy.
