EgyptAir introduces Comfort Class in new A220-300 fleet
Published in Ahram Online on 21 - 01 - 2020

Egypt's flagship airliner EgyptAir said it is launching a new class of travel on international flights on its new Airbus A220-300 fleet, a statement by the airline said.
EgyptAir CEO Ahmed Adel said the airline is introducing its "Comfort Class" on front seats beginning from the first row to the third, with passengers receiving a number of privileges during their trips.
The privileges include finalising travel procedures through Business Class counters, and a baggage allowance of 2x32 kgs and 8 kgs in carry-on luggage.
The Comfort Class will be offered at prices lower than those of Business Travel Class, he added.
This class will be available in routes to Beirut, Istanbul, Sharjah, Moscow, Al-Qassim, Amman, Arbil, and Muscat. Other destinations will be added in the coming period including Vienna and Athens.
The announcement comes a few days after EgyptAir received a new Airbus A220-300 to join the company's fleet.
This is the eighth A220-300 aircraft to be delivered to Egypt as part of a deal with Airbus Company to purchase 12 aircraft of the same family by June.
The new A220-300 is configured in a two-class cabin with 140-seats including 15 premium and 125 economy class seats.
