The International Film Music Contest (FMC) has announced that it is opening the door for musicians of all nationalities, generations and specialisations willing to submit their original works. Based in London, the competition welcomes all creators of original film and TV music: composers, bands, musicians, producers, soloists in instrumental, theatre, electronic and gospel/Christian music. In its golden voice category, the contest also accepts vocalists performing works which do not have to be authored by them. The new category for theatre music has been added to the contest this year. The deadline for submission is 1 March 2020. According to the contest's organisers, the organisers allocated prizes for the winners with a total value of EUR 20,000. The jury includes many renowned names in the field of composition and music production, among them Vlado Meller (USA), Rudolf Geri (Slovakia), Paul Wiffen (UK), Mark Baxter (USA), Gianni Ephrikian (Italy). The contest's aim is "to give people the opportunity to include their creations and talent in an online, international competitive environment from the convenience of their computers, homes or studios, and to have their abilities assessed by a prestigious international panel of judges."
