President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on Tuesday called for exerting more efforts to develop the General Authority For Suez Canal Economic Zone's (SCZone) capabilities, his spokesman Bassam Rady said. El-Sisi stressed the importance of state institutions handing the SCZone's projects successfully and efficiently to attract more investments and create jobs in-line with the state's comprehensive development process. El-Sisi's remarks came during a meeting with SCZone Chairman Yehia Zaki to follow up the authority's development strategy and review the features of its five-plan through 2025. Zaki briefed El-Sisi on plans of supporting the capabilities of the authority's human cadres and its financial situation regarding the investment projects as well as maximising its revenues and incoming investments. He also reviewed the preparations for organising an international economic conference in the first quarter of 2020 to introduce the authority's activity and potentials, in addition to promoting investment opportunities. The meeting also touched on means to localise industry and technology and develop ports of Ain El-Sokhna and El-Tur in cooperation with the Suez Canal Authority.
