Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly called on leading American telecommunications provider ADTRAN Inc. to inject direct investments in the field of manufacturing different networking and communications equipment in Egypt, especially in light of the country's free trade deals with various regions of the world. Madbouly made the remarks during a meeting with ADTRAN Inc. chairman, which was attemded by Egyptian ministers of investment and international cooperation and communications, as well as the Egyptian ambassador in Washington. During the meeting, the US company head briefed the PM on his company's activities in the fields of communications and fiber optics, referring to the existing cooperation with the Arab Organization For Industrialization (AOI) to establish a communications network in the New Administrative Capital. In this regard, the Egyptian communications minister reviewed the progress made by the country in the sector of communications and information technology over the past few years, pointing that Egypt posseses advanced infrastructure in this sector.
