A double from Ahmed Yasser gave Masry an easy 3-1 home victory over Zanzibar's Malindi and a place in the CAF Confederation Cup playoff on Sunday. Masry advanced with a comprehensive 7-2 aggregate victory over their lowly opponents. Yasser needed four minutes to put the aggregate result beyond doubt, volleying home at the far post following a superb cross. Ibrahim Aly brought Malindi level with a bullet header in the 33rd minute but Yasser struck again 10 minutes into the second half to make it 2-1. Nigerian forwar Austin Amutu put the icing on the cake with a 60th-minute goal. Masry will face one of the teams that exited the African Champions League in the next round for a place in the Confederation Cup group stage.
