Egypt's handball national team has qualified for the Men's Junior U21 World Championship quarter-finals held in Spain on Wednesday after achieving a last second victory over Serbia. The young Pharaohs were able to end the first half with 15-14 on the board, then maintain a two or three point difference above the Serbians. However, 30 seconds before the end of the match the Serbians managed to eualize 29-29 before Egypt's heroes scored the winning goal five seconds before the final whistle. The 30-29 victory against Serbia will be the fifth consecutive victory for Egypt, after beating Australia 44-17, Nigeria 47-30, Sweden 32-22, and South Korea 38-36. Egypt qualified first from the World Championship's group stage, making them the first time non European team to win all first stage matches since 2009. The Pharaohs will face in the quarter-final the winner from Wednesday's game between Brazil and Norway.
