Ministers, ambassadors and artists attend Bastille Day celebration in Giza

On the occasion of the National Day of France, also known as Bastille Day, French ambassador to Egypt Stéphane Romatet held a lavish reception party on Sunday in the garden of his residence in Giza.
Romatet delivered a speech where he said that Egypt and France cooperate in all fields to ensure the stability of the Middle East region. He also disclosed that Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and French President Emmanuel Macron are scheduled to meet next month.
The reception was attended by some 2,000 guests including ministers, ambassadors and artists.
Among those attending were Minister of Transport Kamel El-Wazir, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El-Molla, Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali, Minister of Antiquities Khaled El-Enani, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Aly El-Moselhy, Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait, and Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat.

An array of luminaries also attended the reception, including former foreign minister and former secretary-general of the Arab League Amr Moussa, former minister of tourism Fakhry Abdel-Nour, actor Hussein Fahmy, PR expert Mona Zaki and visual artist Farid Fadel, along with their daughters Dahlia and Lily Farid Fadel, who enlivened the evening by singing a collection of Arabic, French and international songs.

Also present were the ambassadors of Saudi Arabia, Morocco and China, as well as public figures such as Professor of French Language and Translation at the Sorbonne University Hanan Mounib, President of the French Community in Cairo Regine Prato, former director of El-Hanager Arts Centre Hoda Wasfy, Director of the National Centre for Translation Anwar Moughith and MP Marian Azer. From Al-Ahram Organisation were Al-Beit magazine's former chief-editor Silvia El-Naqadi and former chief-editor of Alaadin magazine Magda Al-Ghetani.
