Algeria boss Djamel Belmadi asked his players not to underestimate their Nations Cup round of 16 opponents Guinea, stressing the Desert Warriors should put their group stage success behind them. Algeria, who reached the knockout phase as Group C leaders with maximum nine points, face Guinea in Cairo on Sunday. Guinea were among four teams that qualified for the last 16 by finishing third in their respective groups. They collected four points in Group B, behind surprising leaders Madagascar and second-placed Nigeria. "Guinea's clash will not be easy," Belmadi told reporters on Wednesday. "They are a good team and I am sure that their players will do their best against us. I always fear the surprises of the underdogs." Belmadi said that Algeria's success in the group stage will put players under "huge pressure." "We did a great job in the group stage and we have to keep our rhythm. We are now under huge pressure so we should do our maximum, as all of our opponents will consider us title contenders," he added.
